What’s On at Broadway Museum and Art Gallery

We are excited to welcome our new selling exhibition:

Beauty, Style & Fashion – 20th Century Paintings, Drawings & Costumes

An exhibition of both original art, depicting fashion of the period 1900 – 1960, as well as clothes and accessories of the same period, this is an opportunity to view and purchase unique works of immaculate provenance. The art collection is the property of a retired art dealer, and the vintage dresses and accessories courtesy of experts FashionFandango. 30% of every sale will go to support the Museum.

The exhibition explores the depiction of beauty, style and fashion using a superb selection of original drawings, paintings, gowns and fashion accessories. It opens a unique window on this influential period using international artworks overflowing with elegance and humour. A 1920s-style evening dress made for Joanna Lumley for a stage role, is just one of the beautiful items on display.

By buying one of these superb fashion items, drawings or paintings, you will be helping our wonderful museum to thrive. And, yes, the Lumley dress is for sale!

Visiting the museum is also an opportunity to step inside and explore a beautiful Cotswold stone Grade II* listed building. Complete with museum shop and cafe, the Broadway Museum and Gallery is the perfect place to include on a trip to The Cotswolds this Autumn.

We take the safety and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers and visitors very seriously and all appropriate Covid-19 measures – safe distancing, marked flows and sanitising arrangements – will be in place. We ask that all payments are made contactless (no cash) during this time.

The exhibition will run until Sunday, 31st May 2021.
