The Ashmolean Broadway was set up with the intention of supporting and complimenting the local community. We therefore did not design the museum to contain its own café because the town of Broadway already has its own fine array of cafes, restaurants and pubs available.
Sue and Keith are regular weekend volunteers and especially enjoy visiting the Broadway Deli in the morning, before arriving at the museum. They have also taken friends and family to eat at the Crown & Trumpet Inn in the evenings.
‘The Deli is ideal for a quick coffee or tea and we love choosing from their range of nutritious and healthy breakfasts.’ Says Sue, who also enjoys choosing from the fresh food on offer.
We enjoy looking out for their daily tweets about which tasty specials and soups they have on offer, and they always leave our tummys rumbling! We recommend that you follow them @BroadwayDeilUK.
‘When the weathers nice its great to sit outside whilst we have our breakfast, and the patio has lovely garden views.’ Says Keith.
After hearing their great reviews about the Deli, I also decided to visit one lunchtime to buy a Venison Pie. I was bowled over by the charming and helpful staff and enjoyed my mouth-watering pie.

The Crown & Trumpet Inn is a tradition 17th Century Inn- built around the same period as our own Tudor House! They serve lunches and dinners using locally produced ingredients. They have also been awarded ‘Value Pub of the Year 2016’ by The Good Pub Guide.
Keith says ‘we often return here with family and friends because of the warm and friendly atmosphere.’ Sue adds that ‘It is quaint and historic and has a lot of fresh food on offer which we often like to enjoy in the nice gardens.’
With lots of entertainment on offer, including bands and singers, I will be following up on their advise and visiting the Inn in the near future myself!

Of course, these are only two examples, hand picked by Sue and Keith, of the large range of places to eat in Broadway. So why not pop along and enjoy our beautiful museum and it’s exhibitions, and follow it up with a stop at one of the many wonderful cafes and restaurants on offer in the town of Broadway?
