Giovanni Meschini developed his miniaturist style for his main activity, the design and illustration of small, highly detailed cards showing scenes and characters from the Holy Bible, bought by pilgrims at devotional sites, cathedrals and the like.
His fashion work was less well known, but clearly equally impressive, as this exquisite pair of fashion plates show.
