We’re delighted to announce that our popular exhibition, Sargent, His Sister and Their Friends, has been extended until 5th December. It includes paintings by the renowned artist John Singer Sargent, his sister Emily and two of his contemporaries, Augustus John and Philip Wilson Steer.

During her life, Emily Sargent was overshadowed by the reputation of her celebrated brother. In this exhibition, we are given a unique opportunity to judge her work alongside that of her brother. Her watercolours are exceptional and have been much admired by our visitors.

The paintings are on loan to Broadway Museum from the Ashmolean, Oxford. As you’d expect, they’re in high demand and must go back in December. We’ve already returned one of them, The Convalescent by Gwen John, as it was required by another gallery.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy these paintings. See you soon.
