The start of a new year provides us with an opportunity to look back at a successful lecture series during 2019 and to look forward to 2020, when NFU Mutual (Moreton-in-Marsh) will continue their sponsorship of these events.

In 2019, all of the lectures were very well supported, with a number of capacity audiences. As well as a glass or two of wine, attendees have enjoyed a series of entertaining local history talks and topics such as World War 2 Art and the life of Gustav Holst.

Next year, we already have a full programme of lectures in place with a diverse range of topics, including Medieval Surgery, Witchcraft in the Cotswolds, Men Behaving Badly, and Oliver Cromwell. Each lecture will be delivered by an acknowledged expert in the field.

The admission price for each talk will remain at £10 per person (£9 for Friends of the Museum and Benefactors). The price includes free refreshments (wine or soft drinks). Contact the museum ( 01386 859047) to discuss the lecture series and to book tickets. The first lecture, Facets of Nature, takes place on Thursday, 20th February.
