Our beautiful museum building was originally a Coaching Inn, the 17th Century equivalent of a motorway service station but with better catering. We’re looking forward therefore to the next talk in our popular lecture series. Nicholas Herbert will talk on 16th September about Coaching Inns in the Cotswolds and some of the routes the stagecoaches took in the glorious Age of Coaching.
A limited number of seats are available for the talk at the museum. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Tickets are £10 each (£9 for friends and benefactors) and include a glass of wine/soft drink. For those of you unable to attend in person, a webinar is available for just £5. Tickets and payment for this are available via Art Tickets on https://broadway-museum-art-gallery.arttickets.org.uk
If you can’t attend this talk, there are still two more in the 2021 series. On October 28th, Paul Barnett will talk about RMS Carpathia and its heroic role in the Titanic disaster and on November 25th, Dr Karen Bloch will take a look at Who was Who in Broadway back in the 1880s. The 2021 Lecture Series is sponsored by NFU Mutual (Moreton In Marsh).
