Oliver Cromwell: Royal Executioner or Chief of Men
May 14 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm| £10
Oliver Cromwell- not only does Max Keen try and persuade the audience that Cromwell was a force for good- he has to persuade himself- as an ardent royalist!
One of the greatest Englishmen? You decide! Max comes complete with a costume of a Roundhead General. Max enjoys being controversial at times, to stimulate historical thought and debate. As a recently retired teacher, speaking is his profession and he does so with the enthusiasm of an avid historian.
In addition, he holds a Certificate of Higher Education in British Archaeology, which has helped him to probe deeper into his chosen subjects. His main passions are sailing, football (still playing at the age of 64!), musician in a Beatles band, and annoying all and sundry with his very loud Ducati motorbike!
Doors open at 6.30pm
Tickets £10 to include a glass of wine or soft drink (£9 for Friends and Benefactors)
