Music, Friendship and the Cotswold Hills: a life of Gustav Holst
November 28 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm| £10
Speaker Angela Applegate will give a biographical talk on the life of Gustav Holst and introduce the audience to the Holst Birthplace Museum in Cheltenham, and the Gustav Holst Way, a medium distance walking route from Cranham to Wyck Rissington, via Cheltenham and Bourton. Each of these places has some association with the composer, and the broad stretch of Cotswold country between them was also well known to Holst, who spent many pleasant days walking in the uplands and dales.
