A Victorian Christmas by Time to Time
December 18 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm| £10
From Time to Time is made up of two experienced and knowledgeable historical interpreters who have been involved in living history for over 20 years, giving talks for most of that time. Their love of music means that singing is always included in their talks. Two Victorian ladies, Lady Maud Grey and Miss Eliza Kneebone, will show you how the Victorians enjoyed their Christmases, from St Thomas’s Day through to Boxing Day, and all the bits in between! They will tell you of the many traditions, some of which are still carried on today. There is plenty of chat, a story, and a quiz to jog your memory! Not forgetting the music – some you will know, some you may not, and some for you to join in with! Their aim is to bring the Victorians to life, so from the moment they walk through the door to the moment they leave, Adrienne and Ingrid speak, dress and act as 19th Century women.
Doors open at 6.30pm
Tickets £10 to include a glass of wine or soft drink (£9 for Friends and Benefactors)
