On Friday 17th June at 5.00pm, Curator and Print Room Supervisor at the Ashmolean, Katherine Wodehouse will give a talk at Ashmolean Museum Broadway on our current exhibition F.L. Griggs: Visions of England.
The exhibition includes etchings watercolours and drawings by the artist who lived and worked in Chipping Campden. Designing many local war memorials after the Great War, and converting to Catholicism, both had an evident effect on his work through the years. Many of his etchings were used in guide books by Macmillan, some of which form part of our current exhibition, alongside some beautiful imaginary pieces. The talk will look at the pieces on display in the exhibition, and add some insight into both the work of the artist and of the curator in creating the exhibition.
Tickets for the talk cost £10 and include refreshments
